名人教英文：拉布=费力把事拖
「拉布」，filibuster，用普通话音译 fili -「费力」，buster -「把事拖」，串起来就是「费力把事拖」，连意思都包含在内，确是有趣。但足球赛事中的「拉布」、「搓波、揼波钟」的玩法，就不讲filibuster，而是play possession football。
possession football，「拥球」，一队球员把球在自己人之间传来传去，为retain control of the ball、保留控球权。尤其若眼前赛果是1比0之类，就快完场，胜方就会玩拖字诀，总之拖到打钟就赢了。这一款football tactic（足球策略），就像political tactic（政治策略），一样都是delay（delaying 亦可）tactic、拖延策略。
filibuster，做名词或动词、用于人与事都得。
the filibuster（拉布人）filibusters（拉布动作）against the bill, with the hope that the filibuster（拉布这回事）will work.「拉布者就草案拉布，还望拉布有效。」
