中文和英文之间也有很大的相似程度，中文讲“山脚下”，英文就是the foot of the mountain。 而the bottom of the mountain 则是指山的底部。例如“有一批宝藏被埋在山的最底部”就可以说“The treasure is buried at the bottom of the mountain.”美国人的确也是用人身上的部份来形容一座山，所以才会有 the top of the mountain (山顶) 和 the shoulder of the mountain (山肩)，foot of the mountain (山脚) 这样的说法，但是他们可是不说the waist of the mountain（半山腰）的哦！
