Four of ten keep Olympic hopes alive

(BEIJING, June 17) -- Ten crews in the Lightweight Men's Four competed on June 17 for four spots in the finals at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Poznan, Poland, with crews from Spain, Switzerland, Serbia and the Czech Republic prevailing.

Crews from South Africa, Russia, Portugal, Ukraine, Greece and Thailand failed to make the final, ending their chances of qualifying for the Olympics.

Lightweight Men's Four, results:

Spain -- 5:59.10

Switzerland -- 5:59.82

South Africa -- 6:01.83

Russia -- 6:02.36

Portugal -- 6:18.04

Repechage two:

Serbia -- 6:03.47

Czech Republic -- 6:05.50

Ukraine -- 6:05.81

Greece -- 6:08.10

Thailand -- 6:38.30
