The social media giant Twitter has reportedly started talks with several tech companies in an effort to sell itself. Google and telecoms company Verizon could be potential buyers.
Analysts say Twitter missed Wall Street expectations in both the first and second quarters of this year, and has yet to produce a net profit in 11 quarters as a public company. However, the firm has a market value of about 16 billion dollars.
