China's largest machine manufacturer, SANY, has settled its lawsuit against the U.S. government. On Wednesday, Ralls, the affiliated company of SANY in the U.S., announced that it had reached a compromise with the government.
As part of the settlement, SANY will sell its Oregon wind farms to an investor. It was also given the green light to go ahead with two new wind farms in Texas and Colorado. The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States has originally said the projects threatened U-S national security. SANY says its Texas wind farm is already generating 20 megawatts of power. Each megawatt can power more than 100 homes. Analysts say the win could help other foreign companies, who want to challenge the controversial corporate review process in the U.S.
