China's top economic planner said on Monday that the country will keep the price level stable in the second half of this year and predicted that the general price level would pick up.
That's according to an article published on the website of the National Development and Reform Commission. The NDRC predicted that in the second half of the year, CPI gains will be larger than in the first half, while the PPI declines will be even lower.
China has put in motion a bunch of reforms across various economic sectors, in an effort to make its economy more vigorous and sustainable. These include lower reserve requirement ratio and easing monetary controls. Analysts say these efforts have improved the general price level.
