In the US state of Texas, two gunmen have been shot dead after opening fire outside a conference on cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a suburb of Dallas.
A security guard was also injured in the attack. Police have put the Curtis Culwell Center where the event took place on lock-down, and told participants not to leave.
Dutch anti-Islamic politician Geert Wilders was attending the conference. He posted a message online saying shots had been fired and that he had safely left the building. It is unclear if the shootings are related to the event, which was organized by the American Freedom Defense Initiative.
