Cote d' Ivoire has thanked China for its aid to Western African countries, including Cote d' Ivoire, in fighting the Ebola virus.
Cote d’Ivoire's Foreign Minister Charles Koffi Diby said this while meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday. He said China's assistance has greatly strengthened Western African countries' capacity to fight the disease, and lifted African people's confidence in winning the battle.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China and Africa are good friends, that stand together through storm and stress.
So far, China has offered four rounds of assistance and has dispatched over 200 experts and workers to the affected areas to help with prevention and control the disease.
