ANKARA, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will pay a visit to Turkey next week for further bilateral cooperation, Turkey's presidency announced Saturday.
At the invitation of Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Abbas is set to visit Turkey on Dec. 10-12, according to a statement released by Turkey's Presidential Press Center.
This would be Abbas' first visit abroad after the United Nations upgraded the status of Palestine to a non-member observer state last month.
During his visit to Turkey, Abbas will talked with Gul over bilateral cooperation, regional and international issues.
