BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan on Tuesday stressed high-quality development of educational and medical services in the Xiongan New Area.
Sun made the remarks during an investigation and research tour to the Xiongan New Area in Hebei Province, where she presided over a symposium to make arrangements for key work to support the area's educational, medical and healthcare development.
She called for support of Xiongan in introducing quality educational resources from both home and abroad, as well as the development of basic and vocational education including through the relocation or the construction of new campuses of prestigious schools in Beijing and Tianjin.
She also called for efforts to cultivate medical science talent and promote integrated development of medical services, the medical industry and medical research and teaching in the area.
