BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Nearly six years after his directorial debut, Jay Chou's second film "Rooftop" will be released in Chinese theaters on July 11.
Chou said that the film, which depicts the story of a poor man who falls in love with a celebrity, is intended to convey the idea that even ordinary people can be extraordinary.
Chou is the leading actor in the film, while model-turned-actress Li Xin'ai is the leading actress.
Chou's first film "Secret," a romance set in a high school, was a winner at the Golden Horse Film Awards in 2007.
