LOS ANGELES, June 10 (Xinhua) -- The third annual Critics' Choice Television Awards were awarded in Beverly Hills on Monday evening which was highlighted by multiple ties.
CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" walked home with best comedy series, beating out "Louie" (FX),"The Middle" (ABC),"New Girl" (FOX),"Parks and Recreation" (NBC) and "Veep" (HBO).
A pair of stars from the sitcom, Kaley Cuoco and Simon Helberg, were also honored with best supporting actress and actor respectively, while Cuoco tied with Eden Sher from ABC's "The Middle."
HBO's "Game of Thrones" and AMC's "Breaking Bad" tied for best drama series. Bryan Cranston from "Breaking Bad" also won best actor in a drama series for the second consecutive year.
Elsewhere, FX's "American Horror Story: Asylum," which earned six nominations, was honored with best movie or mini series. The show's Zachary Quinto and Sarah Paulson were also named for their performances.
In the best reality series category, A&E's "Duck Dynasty" tied with Sundance's "Push Girls."
The award ceremony, broadcast live on the web for the first time, was held by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.
