SEOUL, April 25 (Xinhua) -- South Korean movie stars Lee Byung- hun and Ahn Sung-ki will be the first Asian actors to leave imprints of their hands outside Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, local media reported Tuesday.
The two stars will have their handprints put into cement at the iconic theater on June 23 and 24, according to Yonhap news agency.
They will join a long list of Hollywood legends like Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, and Harrison Ford to have done the same since the ceremony started in 1927.
Lee made his Hollywood debut in 2009 with his role as Storm Shadow in blockbuster film "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra." He reprised the villainous ninja in its upcoming sequel, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation."
"I heard the news when I was filming the movie in the United States," Lee told reporters in Seoul. "I first thought it was a lie because it was such an unbelievable thing."
Ahn, a highly respected South Korean actor who has worked in nearly 100 films, will also join the ceremony.
