Ricardo Mendoza, a photographer who followed the pop singer on Oct. 18, 2007 when the mishap took place, alleged that Spears intentionally ran over his sandaled left foot, in an attempt to "drive, push, ram and/or barrel through a crowd of people" including himself.
He filed the suit against the popular entertainer on May 29. He also charged Spears with assault and battery.
In court papers filed in August, Spears's attorney described Mendoza as profit-hungry and alleged the paparazzo lounged at Spear's car when Spears was driving out of a parking lot in Beverly Hills.
