The 20-year-old actor, who already owns two other lavish properties in the city, spent about 5.65 million dollars on a five-bedroom townhouse in the trendy Greenwich Village area, which was built by a sea captain for one of his daughters in 1847.
The new property measures about 280 sq meters, with four luxury bathrooms, six fireplaces and one of the five bedrooms has a balcony overlooking a 12 meters long "beautiful" garden.

The estate agents brochure reads: "The property is on one of New York's most picturesque tree-lined landmark cobblestone blocks."
His property empire is now worth over 15 million dollars. In 2007, he splashed out 4.8 million dollars on a fifth floor apartment in the SoHo district.
Later that year, he paid just over 4.5 million dollars for a three-bedroom apartment with views across the Hudson River.
Daniel is currently filming the final book in the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," and will appear in Broadway show "How To Succeed In Business Without Trying" next year.
