| 阅读文章要点：新型的测谎仪有用 1. 测谎仪可以eliminate cheating, 因为新型测谎仪measure the brain activity, 可以准确判断人们是否说谎； 2. The results of lie detector can be used as evidence in court; 3. lie detector方面技术的进步可以推动类似技术的发展。 听力逐一反驳：认为测谎仪有很多不足之处 1. 有证据证明人们也可以change brain activity, 比如take medication, but who knows, 根本看不出来，因此lie detectors就不work了； 2. The results of lie detector are not good enough as evidence in court. 因为有时人们回答问题时也会uncertain, 而测谎仪cannot distinguish the true lying and uncertainty; 3. 其他类似技术的发展可能是坏事。举了个例子，比如对于businessman or politician,他们往往需要跟一些totally dislike的人打交道，实际中他们会hide the true feeling, behave politely, 但如果用一些技术把他们的true feeling示之于人，没人会来干这行。 |
