全国英语等级考试结束了，接下来大家可以松下一口气来，暂时忘记紧张的英语考试了。今天的话题,相信大家都比较感兴趣的，那就是目前有的高校将四级证与学位证挂钩，如果你在校期间没有拿到四级证，那么你也就拿不到学位证书。这代表着什么？英语等级证书是何其重要。当然，这个规定引起部分学生的质疑：这种做法是否合理？高校里的英语四六级考试是否有必要强求？



观点一：学校这么做是为学生的将来着想

    记者了解到，某些高校将英语四级证与学位证挂钩，如果学生毕业前拿不到英语四级证，就直接导致拿不到学位证。对此，一位高校老师这样解释：“英语四六级是学生能力的体现与验证，拿到证书说明学生英语达到一定水平，现在许多公司人才需求要求通过英语四六级，学校这么做是为学生的将来着想。”

观点二：证书并不能代表能力

    一些大学生对此不以为然。小张是某高校大四的学生，英语四级考试参加了4次，还是没通过，今年12月份的这次考试他没有报名。“我大学拿过多次奖学金，学生会工作也做过许多，但英语就是绊脚石，证书并不能代表能力。没有学位就没有吧。”对于小张的态度，很多同学表示理解。当然大部分人还是抱着有机会就再试试的态度，毕竟拿不到学位证对念了4年大学的学生来说是一种缺憾。

I  think both sides are right .It need a  trade off between these two sides. sometimes ,the decrease of the difficulty of the exam  is the best policy.

We haven't the motivation to learn english when there are no requirement .At the other side,we spend a lot of time on english .sometimes english is not everything for college students. WE should pay attention on what we really want .  
maybe the education ministry have realize the problem caused by CET-4 issue. somethings had been done to deal with the problem.
Let's hope for the best  and look the bright side .

I agree the second one,because English doesn't stand for ability.Without English,we can also make great success,but on the other hand , we may lost many chances if our English is very poor,so we 'd better learn English well.

I can't agree with Mr/Miss zhang. In china ,diploma really means somthings to us because  
WE are common people .

Mmmmmm.well,First I should say we cannot change the situation now ,though there may seen to be so many
negative effects of linking Bachelor`s Degree with the CET-4 certification,what we can do is just adapt .
As you list above,CET-4 ,which is not necessarily reprensenting you real ability,We may treat this as a stimulus to
inspire our passion for English learning.After all,It does no harm  when you step into the society with the prove of your efforts and competence.
   I`m writing to you here at the stand of a college student to -be.Believe it or not.

The CET-4 is useful or not?
Different people have different views.
In my opinion, I care about that I can improve my english.
what we prepare for passing the CET-4 is rarely used in our real life,but the exam require us to learn it.
that is why so many student pass the CET-4 but they can't speak english fluency.

Moreover, there are many student who can buy the Answer to pass it.
the CET-4 also make many Moral problem.

O全是高手，我觉得国家既然有这样的政策，肯定是有道理的，且考虑长远的。中国与国际的接轨，需要的是更多的全能人才。不要你很精通，至少一般的交流应该没问题吧。可惜俺现在还很有问题，不过在努力中 GOOD  GOOD  STUDY,DAY DAY UP!

i have something to say
i was a one who had got five times to pss CET-4, but you can not say i was a bad student.
i was good at maths,physics,chemistry,i always got full marks in the test.
English is my biggest headache.i do not like it at all.but i have no choice,i have to learn.
if i had not pass  CET-4,i could not got my degree,and i wondered if i could found a job.
NOw,English is also my troublemaker.So,whatever i lke English or not ,i have to learn.
thanks to CET, i had learned some English during my college life,now ,i can learn it a little easier.
