The Russian baby

Morris and Becky were delighted when finally their long wait to adopt a baby came to an end.

The adoption center called and told them they had a wonderful Russian baby boy, and the couple took him without hesitation...

On the way home from the adoption center, they stopped by the local college so they each could enroll in night courses.

After they filled out the form, the registration clerk inquired, "What ever possessed you to study Russian?"

The couple said proudly, "We just adopted a Russian baby and in a year or so he'll start to talk. We just want to be able to understand him."

当Morris和Becky终于领养到一个孩子，他们非常兴奋。领养中心打电话给他们说他们可以领养一名很优秀的俄国男孩的时候，他们没有多考虑就接受了....
在从领养中心回家的路上，他们在本地一个大学里停下，两人都去报名了大学里的夜校。
在他们填完了表格之后，登记人员问道：“为什么你们要学习俄语呢？”
那对夫妇非常自豪得说道：“我们刚领养了一个俄国孩子，在一年左右的时间他就要开始讲话了，我们只是希望能听懂他说的话。”

从领养中心回家的路上，他们经过一个大学时停了下来，两人都去报名了夜晚的课程。

当他们填完表后, 登记处的人问:" 你们为什么要学习俄语?"

这对夫妇自豪地说:" 我们刚收养了一个俄罗斯的婴儿 ，一年后他会说话时，我们希望能听懂他的话。
