Performance Affected By Sexuality?
Last Saturday, one of my former roommates in my undergraduate course who is now furthering with her graduate education in NO.2 Aviation an Space Institute of China in Tianjin. Together with her was another of my roommates who was then on an engineering service business. There was no doubt that we reminiscing on our wonderful and cherish days in the schoolyard. On one side of the line, I told Li to take good care of herself while on service business and Shi to spare no efforts to study hard; on the other end of the line, they told me to work hard and keep fit. Things have gone different as time went by, days when we took photos in the blooming spring, read books together in the classrooms or the library, drank, played and sang songs together on the leisure weekends are no longer back again.
The majority or all of my workmates are male, and deeply have I recognized that girls and boys do differ in many aspects. For girls, when you jog with them, you can appeal to them what weighs on your mind (most part sentimental): your family, your course, your relationship with others and so forth; you tell them you are fond of 《Gone With the Wind》, 《The Pretty Lady》,《The Waterloo Bridge》, of the charming appearance or the excellent performance of the leading actress (Vivien Leigh or Julia Roberts), you’ll find you can always have ideas in common. For boys, when you walk with them, you have no choice but to become a good listener to their new “innovation” for software or hardware learning or designing. When you tell them “piao (in Chinese)”is yet assessed as the most pure and classical translation from English (“Gone with the Wind” in English), they don’t seem even get any knowledge of that. In fact, they are not concerned about that at all.
Above all, girls are adapted to be “sentimental” while boys are adapted to be “material”. What you get from the former is sparks of feelings and the latter sparks of creativity or wisdom.
During my undergraduate course, numerical times have our conductors said that it is not considered proper for girls to take engineering majors (take automation engineering for example). It is no escaping fact that girls always endeavor to get high scores but in most conditions, they seem to react much slowly than boys during practices in the laboratory.
In the field of arts, take movie making for example, female and male directors open up different sights from different aspects and with different characteristics to us. Female directors most express the theme, the rhythm and the psychological activities more smoothly while male directors by way of violence or tragedies. In the movie of<<Yu Guanyin>>, Ann Hui aimed at showing the kind-heart and the complex psychological activities of the leading actress, were the movie directed by John Woo, he would take light of what was stressed by Hui and emphasize on the scene of fierce gunfight. They are both typical representatives with their features in their fields.
Sexuality has to some extent determined the thinking mode. Natured or nurtured, each has its advantages. As is known to all, that’s why our life has become so colorful. So feature your typical characteristics and then be talented.
