Yuan xiao Festival is the grandest festival after the Lunar New Year in china.
Yuan means the beginning and Xiao means night.The festival is celebrated in
the Evening of the 15th of the first lunar month.Yuan Xiao Festival is also
known as The Lantern Festival at night the streets are adorned with all kinds
of lanters for people to enjoy.There is a beautiful legend about the origin
of this festival.About 2000 years ago in the Han Dynasty(206 BC-200AD),the
third emperor,Han Wu Di Reigened.He had a very clever minister by the name
of Dongfang shuo.One day,Dongfang Shuo encounered a maiden crying miserably
in the Emperor’s garden.Curious,he asked Her,”What is your name?Why are you
crying so sadly?”The maiden answered,”My name is Yuan Xiao.
