Sharing Makes the World Go Round
The other day, I attended my brother‘s wedding. All the relatives and friends got together at the big party, talking and laughing. I myself really enjoyed it a lot. But then, a strange question suddenly came to me, “Why should we send for everyone and hold such ceremony?” You may say it is just the tradition. But why is tradition so? Looking at all the happy smiling faces, however, I was hit by the answer--To Share the Happiness. Yes, it is the sharing that doubles, triples and even multiplies our happiness, and spreads it to all.
On the other hand, sharing does not only widen and deepen our happiness, but also lessen our sorrow. I can’t help recalling my grandma’s funeral at the spring festival. Life changes easily. In the first second, we were full of joy for the New Year; in the next, we were thrown into the sad loss of our beloved relative. Fortunately, all the family stood side by side and went through the cruel reality together. Sharing dwarfs the sadness and nourishes the fortitude.
Nevertheless, sharing also sharpens our mind's eye and polishes our ability. Sharing the each other’s thought and we both will own two. Sharing the apples, we may have less to eat, but both will gain the taste as well as the enjoyment of eating apples. Through sharing we broaden our horizon and enrich our life.
Besides, “to share” is also my understanding of LOVE. “Love makes the world go round.” So is sharing. Human’s history is a history of learning to share. Sharing the happiness, we’ve been serving our part to prepare for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Sharing the sadness, we donated what we had to help the victims of 2004 Indian Ocean’s tsunami survive the disaster. Sharing the wisdom, we set up the United Nations to pursue a more harmonious world.
So, let sharing be the golden rule of life leading us to success; let sharing be the Noah saving us from the sea of misery; let sharing be the air powering us with oxygen and energy, believing that it will make the world go round.
