今天要攻克的是过去进行式+when(后面动词用简单过去式)

When在这个时候发生在我的身边：
1)I was just coming along to see Jelley when I ran into my boss.
(我正要过来探望Jelley时，忽然撞见了老板！)
2)When I was walking down the staircase, I slipped and hurt my foot.
(正当我走下楼时，我滑倒并把脚弄伤了。)
这也是个常用的表达法：
I was walking down the staircase when I slipped and hurt my foot.
(我正走下楼梯之际突然滑倒并把脚弄伤了。)

1]Yesterday afternoon Frank Hawkins was telling me about his experiences as a young man(年轻时).Frank is now the head of a very large business company,but as a boy(童年时) he used to work in a small shop.It was his job to repair bicycles and at that time he used to work fourteen hours a day.
2]He saved money for years and in 1938 he bought a small workshop of his own(of one's own:属于某人自己的).During the war Frank used to make spare parts for airplanes.At that time he had two helpers.By the end of the war, the small workshop had become a large factory which employed seven hundred and twenty-eight people.

1)I used to go to work by bike.(But I don't anymore, now.)
我过去常骑自行车上班。
2)My father used to be a farmer,but he's retired now.
美国人用did作疑问句的助动词：What did you use to...?
英国人则用Used you to...?
如：你过去常早起床，对吗？
You used to get up early,didn't you?(美)
You used to get up early,use(d)n't you?(英)
*used to的否定式：...didn't use to(used not to)...
*Did there used to be...?
*used to的疑问句：Didn't you use to...?(Usedn't you to...?)

I used to get up at 11, but now I should get up at half past six. What a pity of me !

I am just the opposite.I used to get up early at half past six,now I get up at eight.
