addition, appendix, attachment, supplement, accessory
这些名词均含“附加物、增加物”之意。
1. addition ：仅强调数量的增加。
eg: They've just had an addition to the family.（他们家里刚刚添了一口人。）
2. appendix ：指书末的附录。
eg: This book has twoappendices.（这本书有两个附录。）
注意appendix的复数形式哦~
另：appendix还有一个意思是"阑尾"。比如说：I have recently had my appendix removed.（我最近切除了阑尾。）
3. attachment ：指用于扩大原物用途的附件。
eg: Thevacuum cleaner has four different attachments.（吸尘器有四个不同的附件。）
4. supplement ：主要指使书、报等更完善而额外增加的部分。
eg：Asupplement to this dictionary may be published next year.（该词典的补编或许将于明年出版。）
5. accessory ：作“附件”解时，与attachment同义，可互换，但还指增加美观的附属品。
eg：These are indispensable accessories.（这些是不可缺少的附件。）
