The Republic of Korea selects Olympic baseball team

(BEIJING, July 15) -- The Republic of Korea has selected its 24-man baseball team for the Beijing Olympics, according to the National Broadcasting Company's (NBC) Olympic website.

Lee Seung-Yeop, an icon in Korean baseball, is on the team. At the age of 26, he became the youngest professional baseball player in the world to hit 300 home runs.

Also on the Olympics baseball line-up for the country is Kim Kwang-Hyun.

The Republic of Korea's Olympic baseball team includes the following players:

Pitchers: Lim Tae-hoon, Oh Seung-hwan, Kwon Hyuk, Song Seung-jun, Han Ki-joo,Kim Kwang-hyun, Chung Dae-hyun, Ryu Hyun-jin, Bong Jung-keun, Jang Won-sam

Catchers: Jin Kab-yong, Kang Min-ho

Infielders: Jeong Keun-woo, Kim Dong-joo, Ko Young-min, Kim Min-jae, Park Jin-man, Lee Dae-ho, Lee Seung-yeop

Outfielders: Lee Jin-young, Kim Hyun-soo, Lee Jong-wook, Lee Yong-kyu, Lee Taek-keun
