(BEIJING, July 8) -- Wrestler Mark Madsen will make his long-waited Olympic debut in the forthcoming Games in Beijing. He is one of Denmark's best bets to secure a medal this August.
Madsen won a silver in the 2007 World Championships at age 23. Previously, he was crowned at the European Junior Wrestling Championships 2004 and won a silver and a bronze at the 2005 and 2006 World Championships, respectively.
After one year of tough competition, Madsen finally made his way to the highest sports platform - the Olympic Games. The 24-year-old is very ambitious and is aiming for a medal.
Coming to Beijing along with him will be Anders Nyblom, who finished 9th at the 2006 World Championships in China.
Madsen will compete in the 74kg category and Nyblom in the 55kg.
