(BEIJING, July 6) -- The Chinese women's national basketball team faced off against Cuba in its second game of the friendly match competition. Chinese guard Sui Feifei was absent from the game due to injury.In the first quarter, Cuba's performance was conflicted by a series of missed shots while China led 23-13 with seven turnovers. In the second quarter the Cuban team pushed ahead scoring ten additional points with fluid turnover, turning the tide of the game. With no choice the Chinese team requested a time-out to regroup their efforts but the quarter ended 36-34 in Cuba's favor.Unable to spark a comeback in the previous quarter, the China team changed strategy, pushing for more outside shots. The play change worked, permitting the team to eat away at the Cuba's lead throughout the fourth quarter and clinch the game with an 86-73 victory.These two teams will meet again on July 7.
