(BEIJING, June 30) -- World No. 1 Brazil defeated Germany 3-0 in group D of the World Grand Prix 2008 at Vinh Phuc Hall on Sunday.The German women seemed frazzled as they faced the top Women's Volleyball team, starting set one with some mistakes in blocking. The set ended quickly 25-15, with Brazil in the lead throughout.The second set saw both sides take turns in the tug-of-war. Germany was able to take an 8-5 advantage over Brazil at the first time-out with changes in tactics in attacking and blocking. They remained in the lead till the second time-out, but the situation reversed near the end when Brazil caught up to even the score 23-23 and eventually sealed the set 27-25.Brazil easily closed set three 25-16 and retained their top spot in group D in the Vinh Phuc leg.
