Katie Hoff broke the world record in the Women's 400m Individual Medley on Sunday night at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Team Trials, finishing in 4:31:12, 0.34 seconds faster than the previous record of 4:31.46 set by Stephanie Rice at the Australian Olympic trials in March.
Elizabeth Beisel finished second with a time of 4:32.87.
