(BEIJING, June 25) -- Argentina defeated the previously perfect Dutch hosts 1-0 on June 24, offering proof that their strong start at the WorldHockey Champions Trophy is no fluke. The Argentineans are the only team in the tournament not qualified for the Olympic Games, but with two wins, one draw and no losses, they are now at the top of the points table.Argentina and the Netherlands traded scoring opportunities throughout the match, with neither team able to put the ball into the net. With a minute left to go, Argentina won a penalty corner and Juan Gilardi buried a goal in the bottom left corner. The Dutch are now 2-1 in the tournament, and sit in second place.Earlier in the day, Spain and Australia played to a 1-1 draw and are now tied in points with Germany in the middle of the pack. The Germans kept the Republic of Korea winless with a 4-3 victory, that had Germany jump to a 4-1 lead in the first half and then hold off a comeback from the Asian team.
