Despite his team's great achievements Luis Aragonés will leave his post as Spanish national coach after the UEFA EURO 2008 tournament according to UEFA Euro 2008 official website.Although the 69-year-old veteran has led the Spanish team into semifinals at Euro 2008, and they have been undefeated since October 2006, Aragonés announced his decision to stand down on Monday, even though there were calls to persuade him to carry on coaching."I told the (Spanish Football) Federation and announced to all of you in the media that I'm leaving, no matter how this tournament finishes," he was quoted as saying on the UEFA Euro 2008 official website.The veteran coach will not quit football completely after leaving the national side as he has admitted his intention to carry on coaching.
