Poland, Belarus, Italy and Switzerland qualify for finals

(BEIJING, June 17) -- Four more spots in the finals were awarded in the Lightweight Women's Double in two repechage races on June 17 at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Poznan, Poland. Poland and Belarus finished ahead of Hungary and Russia in the first repechage, while Italy and Switzerland beat out New Zealand and Croatia. The last two finishers in each of the repechage races were eliminated from the competition and will not have a chance to qualify for the Summer Games.

Repechage 1:

Poland -- 7:06.28

Belarus -- 7:08.40

Hungary -- 7:13.25

Russia -- 7:19.01

Repechage 2:

Italy -- 7:04.16

Switzerland -- 7:06.69

New Zealand -- 7:08.80

Croatia -- 7:14.38
