(BEIJING, June 17) -- Australians Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page and Austria's Sylvia Vogl and Carolina Flatscher won the men's and women's titles, respectively, in the 2008 470 European Championships this past weekend in Riva del Garda, Italy.In the men's medal race, world No. 1 Wilmot and Page, the medal favorites for the Beijing Olympics, had the lead throughout the course and finished ahead of Nic Asher and Elliot Williams from Great Britain. Sven and Kalle Coster from the Netherlands came in third.On the women's side, the Austrian team of Sylvia Vogl and Carolina Flatscher won the championship title by ten points. Switzerland's Emmanuelle Rol and Anne Sophie finished second, while Australia's Elise Rechichi and Tessa Parkinson took third place.
