(BEIJING, June 15) -- Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir of Indonesia scored a three-set victory (17-21, 21-14, 21-9) over Anthony Clark and Donna Kellogg of England to clinch the mixed doubles title at the Aviva Singapore Open on June 15, 2008.In the first set, Clark and Kellogg had the upper hand, with good defensive work and skillful net-play, winning 21-17.In the second set, the Indonesian pair played remarkably, scoring 3 points in a row. However, the British duo was in no mood to give up the title, gradually catching up on the scoreboard. Even though they put up a respectable fight, they lost anyway, with Indonesia taking the second set 21-14.In the decisive set, the two pairs spared no effort to clinch the coveted title. In the end, Widianto and Natsir took this set 21-9, giving them the gold.
