BERLIN, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Former World number one Serena Williams from the United States breezed into the third round at German Open in Berlin on Tuesday, while three seeded players were ousted on the second tournament day.With a shining performance in front of 7,500 spectators, Serena Williams cruised past Italy's Francesca Schiavone with 6-2 and 6-2.The 27-year-old Olympic champion -- in the doubles together with her sister Venus -- seemed to be in very good spirits."I really don't feel like a diva," Serena Williams told a press conference after the match.Apart from seeded player Shahar Peer of Israel who was defeated by Germany's Sabine Lisicki, another two seeded players were ousted on the second tournament day: Switzerland's 9th seed Patty Schnyder had to bow 2-6, 3-6 to Vera Suhevina of Russia and 12th seed Nicole Vaidisova lost 6-4, 1-6, 2-6 to Argentina's Giesla DulkoGermany's number one, Martina Mueller, failed to follow the example of compatriots Sabine Lisicki and Angelika Bachmann.Currently ranked 72nd in the world, Mueller was ousted 3-6, 3-6 by Zi Yan of China.
