BRASILIA, April 26 (Xinhua) -- International star defender Roberto Carlos said Friday that he wishes to return to the Brazilian national soccer team and he is in prime physical condition to play."I think that I am in great shape and I am very motivated to return to the national team. I don't plan on being a starter, but if the coach needs me, I will be ready, said the 35-year-old player.Carlos referred to Brazil's loss and exit from the 2006 World Cup and defended himself stating that it was the head coach who positioned him up front rather than staying behind to defend against Thierry Henry, who scored the game wining goal for France.After that game, Carlos claimed that he would retire from the national team after having disappointed the fans and country of Brazil.
