(BEIJING, April 20) -- Andrea Baldini of Italy, the world's top-ranked fencer, eliminated Zhang Liangliang on Sunday 15-13 in the Men's Individual Foil Quarterfinals of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 FIE World Championships, which was held here at the Fencing Hall of National Convention Center. Zhang had been the only Chinese contender to advance to the quarterfinals.World No. 6 Andrea Cassara of Italy defeated World No. 4 Erwan Le Pechoux of France 15-8; German Benjamin Kleibrink beat Radoslaw Glonek of Poland 15-11; and Russian Alexey Cheremisinov downed Ota Yuki of Japan 15-12.In the semi-final, Baldini will duel Kleibrink, and Cassara will fight Cheremisinov.
