LONDON, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Liam Tancock broke the world record of the men's 50m backstroke at Britain's Olympic trials in Sheffield on Wednesday.Tancock clocked 24.47 seconds on the first 50 of the men's 200 backstroke heats, beating the previous mark of 24.80 seconds set up by German Thomas Rupprath."Everyone in the world has been queuing up for a world record," he said, "I was feeling fast in training. I am really pleased."
