(BEIJING, March 20) -- Chinese world champion pair Wang Feng and Qin Kai secured their ticket to the Olympics as they placed first in the last Olympic Diving Qualifier with 458.22 points.
Despite their win, the pair, who swept each of the championship titles in the previous four qualifiers, said, "Our performance was only so-so."
"The Olympics in August will serve as a real test to us."
The pair has unarguably proved their dominance in the men's 3m synchronized diving event. They have added gold medals to their collections in all of the high-profile international and domestic diving competitions, such as the World Championships in Melbourne and the FINA Diving World Cup in Beijing.
