不定冠词可用于复数名词前的两种情况
(1) 用于“不定冠词+形容词+复形抽象名词”结构，这结构多用于表示时间、距离、金钱等，如a full six hours（足足6小时）、a busy two weeks（忙碌的两星期）、a good two miles（足足两英里）、a good five dollars（整整5美元）等。如：
I’ve had a busy two weeks. 我忙了两个星期。
It’s a good three miles to the station. 离车站至少3英里。
Her dress was a full three inches above the knee. 她的连衣裙下摆离膝盖整整3英寸。
(2) 用于某些习语中，如a few, a great many等。如：
There were a good few copies sold on the first day. 第一天就卖了许多本。
注意：有些名词虽然带有复数词尾，但它们本身可以用作单数可数名词，此时自然可在其前使用不定冠词。如：
We came to a crossroads. 我们来到了十字路口。
This is a means to an end. 这是达到目的的一种手段。
