Baby formula produced by a Chinese mainland dairy company has become the first of its kind to enter the Hong Kong market. The Dairy Association of China announced the development Monday.
SGS Hong Kong recently released a test report on the baby formula produced by China's Shijiazhuang Junlebao Dairy. It says Junlebao's baby formula nutritional composition and safety standards are in accordance with Hong Kong regulations. Its dairy product standards, as well as its packaging and labelling have also passed.
The tests were carried out by Hong Kong's Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and its Food and Environmental Hygiene Department. DAC said customers' lack of confidence has been the biggest bottleneck for the revitalization of domestic milk and milk products.
