During his speech, Premier Li Keqiang's said China's economic reform and restructuring will create new opportunities for world economic growth. Earlier we talked to Mr. Tang Min, a counsellor in the State Council. He explained to us the reasons behind that statement.
"At this moment, even with the slowdown of the economy, we still contribute 30% to global growth. This is a big number. In the future, China can do more. Because of the reforms and change of structure, developing countries need new infrastructure, new jobs, China is a huge investor now in going out to other countries. Starting from this year, the foreign direct investment in China is less than China's foreign investment in other countries. So this creates a lot of new opportunities to global economy," Tang said.
