An exhibition entitled "Mainstay" -- which celebrates the role of the Communist Party of China and its armies in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression -- is being held at the Military Museum in Beijing.
More than 400 pictures and paintings, over 500 cultural relics, and five landscape models -- depicting the anti-Japanese Amalgamated Army of the Northeast, and the Shaanxi caves in Northwest China-- are on display. The exhibition will be open to the public until September 15th.
A variety of activities are also being held across the country to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the end of World War Two, culminating in the grand military parade in Beijing on September 3rd.
