Talks between hundreds of tribal leaders and politicians, including the Yemeni President, came to an end on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh. But the Houthi rebels, who control large swaths of Yemen, did not take part.
The talks focussed on halting violence in the war-torn country, as fighting continues following the end of a five-day humanitarian cease-fire.
However, the absence of representatives of the Houthi rebels at the talks means they are unlikely to succeed in ending the crisis.
At the conference, President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, whose government is currently based in Riyadh after being forced to flee Yemen, said that the country's problems can only be solved through dialogue.
