128 of the 269 listed firms owned by the central government saw stock prices go up by over 50 percent from a year ago at the end of trade Friday.
Among the 18 firms that saw prices double, five also saw earnings rise by more than a half from a year ago, and four saw earnings drop. Analysts say this means that not all of companies' earnings performed in line with their stock prices.
According to Wind Statistics, some concept stocks owned by the central government companies saw earnings drop by more than 10 times its price a year ago. However, stock prices of these firms are still rising, with the the lowest scale up by a quarter.
