With Christmas coming, Greeks are doubtful the election of a new president would bring change to years of economic austerity. At one Athens market, both sellers and shoppers said the country is experiencing hard times.
"The situation is not great, something needs to be done," a shopper said. "You can see that the people are walking by but are not buying anything. A change needs to happen, for the government to go away. I do not know, we are tired of them."
