Besides the kangaroo, if there's any other animal that's a symbol of Australia, it is probably the cute and cuddly Koala. With the G20 about to begin in Brisbane, staff at a Koala sanctuary in the city, are getting their star attractions ready to welcome world leaders, for a possible photo opportunity.
Around 130 koalas make Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary their home. Human contact is something they are used to and they are cuddled nearly every day.
But koalas rest up to 20 hours a day; so handlers are taking extra care not to disturb their normal routine in preparation for a photo op with world leaders.
But the handlers are confident that come the time, the koalas will be at their cutest best, in front of any world leader.
