A New York doctor who was diagnosed with Ebola has been cleared of the disease and discharged from hospital. Craig Spencer contracted Ebola while treating patients in West Africa.

Dr. Craig Spencer said.
New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio, has applauded the city’s reponse to the case. The 33 years old had worked for Doctors Without Borders treating Ebola patients in Guinea. He spent 20 days in isolation at Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital, after testing positive for Ebola on October the 23rd. He was the fourth person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States.
One other man, Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan, died in Texas after entering the US from Liberia. Nearly 5-thousand people have been died of the virus in West African, mostly in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
