U.S. President Barack Obama has honored four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, killed at the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya this week.

In his weekly radio and Internet address Saturday, Obama said America depends on people such as Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith and Ambassador Chris Stevens to sustain the freedoms Americans enjoy.

While expressing condolences to their families, the president said those responsible for the killings at the diplomatic post in Benghazi will be brought to justice.  Obama said America's resolve will not be broken and that everything possible is being done to protect Americans overseas.

He said the memory of the four men will guide the United States to be stronger and safer for its citizens and help make the world a better place.

In the Republican address, Congressman Allen West of Florida accused the Obama administration of weakening the military by not stopping spending cuts set to take effect in January.

Congressman Allen says his party has a plan to avoid slashing the defense budget, but he says Democratic Party members in the Senate do not support the Republican plan.
