MOSCOW, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama confirmed in a phone talks on Friday that bilateral talks on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) are concluded, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
"Both parties stated that according to the agreements previously reached in Washington, bilateral talks about Russia's admission to the WTO have been finished," Medvedev's spokeswoman Natalia Timakova was quoted as saying.
Medvedev and Obama also discussed the synchronization of ratification of the new START treaty, situation around Iran and other international issues, Timakova said.
