PARIS, July 16 (Xinhua) -- French aircraft maker Airbus delivered two A380 aircraft on Friday, one to Singapore Airlines and the other to Lufthansa, bringing to 10 the total A380 deliveries in 2010, the company said in a statement.

This delivery has expanded the A380 in-service fleet to 33 aircraft and paved the way for the company to reach its target of at least 20 A380 deliveries through this year.

Before Singapore Airlines which just received its 11th jumbo plane, the biggest A380 operator was Emirates Airline, which also has a fleet of 11. Airbus said there were so far five A380 operators serving 18 major cities worldwide every day.

The previous 31 A380s in service have clocked up 156,000 revenue flight hours in some 17,000 commercial flights and transported over six million passengers to 20 major international destinations worldwide, the statement said.
